PYP – Primary Years Programme
The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme
- Our main language of instruction is English
- The core curriculum, taught in English, includes mathematics, English, science, and social studies
- Specialist subjects/classes are taught in English
- Inquiry based learning is approached through the the units of inquiry (UOI) within the transdisciplinary themes
- There is an emphasis on social and emotional growth through the development of the IB Learner Profile
- English literacy development is addressed through a variety of interactive programmes
- EAL (English as an Additional Language) support is provided in the classroom
- Additional foreign languages: Russian, Italian, German, Spanish, French, Chinese
- Free clubs are provided, based on choice
